All about YMHT

From about 8 months, Vienna has been able to join in at mealtimes- she has her own plate, sits in her own place, but she doesn't have her own food- she shares our food because she really enjoys it. When we started introducing solids it was really exciting seeing her be able to eat new foods for the first time and I want to come up with delicious meals that she can really get stuck into- the problem is that sometimes I look in the cupboard and think what the hell am I going to make her today? I'm getting good at cooking through mine and my daughter's baby-led feeding escapades, and I want to share some of our adventures. I think feeding can be funny, tasty and enjoyable, and so here we are!

We started using baby-led feeding at 6 months, and after gradually switching from breastmilk to solids, Vienna has come on in leaps and bounds- she has 3 proper meals a day now and LOVES food. Our house is getting full of tiny bits of paper where I've written down recipe-type snippets of things that have worked, and, even though I wouldn't consider myself a "blogger", it would be nice to save a bit of paper. I'd love to show other mums how easy baby-led feeding is to do- you don't have to spend a fortune on special food, just swap a few bits here and there and you can get more satisfaction out of healthier, home-cooked, food that, as they say, "the whole family can enjoy".
